Kylie Jenner Lips On A Budget

Okay, I may be a bit behind with this one...

But I've been loving Kylie Jenner. Whether you love or hate her, I'm sure you've noticed the lip shades she's been wearing and which have taken over the beauty world by storm. She's also brought out her own collection of lip products, which I'd love to own someday. But for today, I've prepared a collection of Kylie shades which you can get in the drugstore. They're all taupes, brownish pinks or darker mauve shades... I'm sure you can sense a theme! Let's see them now (I'll be talking about them in the order they're swatched from left to right).

Essence 07 Natural Beauty

This was something I picked up on a whim and promptly fell in love with. One of my favorite lipsticks of all time, Natural Beauty is a glossier cream lipstick which applies beautifully and even works on my always dry lips. A pretty pink/brown which I think would look great on anyone... and you can't beat the price, I think it's around 4€.

Rimmel Lasting Finish by Kate Lipstick 104

I've had this for a year now and I've used it a lot. Very similar to the previous lipstick but more creamy and not as glossy. Feels great on the lips, not drying, very opaque, looks natural but pretty. A deeper pink/brown shade. Again, not a matte finish! You can wear these lip colors without the liquid lipstick dryness, too. I paid around 7€.

Astor Soft Sensation Lipcolor Butter Matte in 027 Elegant Nude

This is one of my favorite lip products of all time. I love lipstick crayons, but this one is just special - not drying but has a matte finish, feels so pleasant on the lips, too. I adore the taupe brown shade, which is totally Kylie. Astor can't be found in Slovenia, but if you pop over to Austria, definitely pick this up. I want all the shades! I can't remember the price, but it was under 10€.

Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet 07 Nude-Ist

Bourjois Liquid Lipsticks are just lovely. I like the finish and I like the formula, which is more like a mousse and dries to a matte finish which doesn't transfer and fades nicely. I particularly love this shade which is a pretty taupe pink. Longwearing, pleasant on the lips and a bargain! 10€ here.

Sephora Cream Lip Stain 13

There are two 'Kylie' shades in these Sephora lip stains, I love them both. A similar texture to Bourjois and a great formula. Love these so much (the red from this line is stunning, too). The shade is a stunning mauve and it dries so matte... Love this so much. It's around 14€, so the expensive side of drugstore, but so worth it!

There you go, if you want Kylie lips on a budget, you're all set. These also work for Marsala colored lip products. Hope it was helpful!

Zoeva Rose Golden Luxury Set Vol. 2 Review

Introducing... the most beautiful brush set of all time!

It's been a few months since I purchased this stunning brush set from Zoeva, and I thought it was about time I wrote a review for you. I hope this is useful for you and I tried to go in detail with every brush along with general opinions about the set. Let's see what we have...

The whole set

In general, I can't say enough good things about this lovely set. The brushes are great quality. I adore their color, a light powder pink with rose gold accents. I'm so pleased I got the set as it comes with this lovely makeup bag, which I keep getting compliments on. The price is 65€, which is steep, but worth it. You can purchase the set here. For me, it's just the perfect combination of brushes and a really essential set. There's not one brush here that is useless or annoying, they're all amazing. If I had one wish it would be for Zoeva to include a powder brush with this, or maybe a concealer brush. But I'm probably biased because I don't really wear eyeshadow... Let's go more in detail about the brushes now.

104 Buffer

I've been using this brush for my foundation religiously. It's very soft and not too dense, but thick enough. It's easy to wash and keeps its shape as well as function despite me washing it frequently. It applies liquid foundation beautifully, there are no streaks when you buff it in and just looks so natural. I've used this brush with all kinds of coverage and different products and it has always excelled. You can purchase it separately here for 14,80€.

109 Luxe Face Paint

I love this brush so much I actually have two of them. Before purchasing the set, I'd already bought the brush by itself and it's my only double Zoeva brush - I just love it so much. It's amazing for contouring with both cream and powder products. I personally suck at contouring, but this brush makes it so so easy, I also use it for blusher at times and it's just wonderful! It's not that dense, but it has a great shape. It can get a little scratchy if you don't wash it enough and it loses its shape, but I still love it. You can purchase it separately here from 12,80€.

126 Luxe Cheek Finish

This is probably the most boring brush in the collection. Can be used for powder, bronzer, blush, highlighter... Personally I use it for blusher. It's a great brush, but nothing extraordinary. I'm not very picky when it comes to blush brushes, I just think the 126 isn't great for powder as it's too long and not dense enough (unless you're doing a light dusting). Not a must-have, but good to find in the set. You can buy it separately here from 12,80€.

226 Smudger

A nice eye brush. It works for smudging, but I mostly use it to pack color on the lid. Dense and short, it's great when you want to add a lot of product. I haven't used it for smudging yet as I don't really wear smokey eyes, but it would be good for the bottom lashline, judging by the shape. Purchase is separately here from 7,80€.

228 Luxe Crease

This crease brush is absolutely lovely. Very very soft and long and bendy enough to use on hooded lids, too. My old favorite was a Sigma blending brush which is still great, but a bit too short for my liking, so this is perfect. You could also use it for highlighter. Available here from 7,80€.

234 Luxe Smoky Shader

I kind of disagree with the name of this brush. It's supposed to be a smoking brush, I just prefer to use it for packing on color. In my opinion, possibly a little unnecessary in this kit as you already have a great brush for that - 226. However, I still find uses for it, so it's not wasted... Just wish they'd substitute either the 226 or 228 with a powder brush. Purchase it here from 7,80€.

317 Wing Liner

Whether you use gel liner or khol, this is pretty much a must-have brush in your makeup collection. Personally, I use liquid liner, but I still found a great use for the 317 - I like to use it for concealer to really sharpen the edges of my liner and brows, and it works great. I love that this brush is in here, and it's really become a part of my routine. Available here from 6,80€.

322 Brow Line

This brush is a total must-have for me. I prefer it to RT's eyebrow brush, it's softer and more defined. The Real Techniques brush is too dense for me. The 322 is perfectly angled and works with both cream, wax and powder products. Would recommend, this is such a staple in my collection. Purchase it here from 6,80€.

Makeup bag

Shh, this was kind of the reason why I got the whole set. I have to say, the makeup bag really is stunning and such nice quality, too. I don't think it's real leather, it must be faux, but it's so very soft and pleasant to the touch. The color is a stunning rose gold and it's just so beautiful! I'd even wear it as a clutch... Just great part of this set, unfortunately you cannot buy it separately.

All in all, this set comes with my thumbs up. I really love it and am so glad I have it - been using most of these things every day. If you're looking for a great face & eyes kit, look no further. All I'd add is a concealer and powder brush, otherwise you're all set!

Afrodita 100% SPA Body Mousse

Introducing one of my recent favorites...

I've really been looking forward to telling you about this amazing body mousse from Afrodita. In the wintertime especially, my skin is dry and sensitive, and I'm always looking for a great product to combat the winter blues... Enter this body mousse, which is luxurious, nourishing and all-around amazing.

When I received this from Afrodita, I could tell right away I'd fall in love with it, and as soon as I opened the lid, I knew it would be a new firm favorite. This luxurious body mousse is creamy but extremely light, almost feels like a whipped texture. It contains small granules which dissolve on the skin and don't leave a trace as my skin just drinks it all up!

Containing vitamin E and cocoa butter, the mousse is extremely moisturizing and nourishing and feels great on dehydrated skin. I also love the scent so much! It's strawberry scented but to me, it smells like strawberries dipped in chocolate. Such a decadent, lovely scent... I kind of want to eat it!

Best of all, this lovely product is a total bargain at around 5€! You can purchase it here or in Slovenian drugstores, and it comes heavily recommended from yours truly.

Top 5 Perfumes From Winter To Spring

Hopefully, winter will soon turn into spring...

Not that I mind winter! It's just exciting when the weather changes. :) As we all know, I love fragrances and I really wanted to do a transitional post with scents. So I gathered 5 perfumes I absolutely love this time of the year, and I think they're perfect for that winter-spring time. Let's see what we have.

1. Paco Rabanne Olympea

This is my boyfriend's favorite scent on me. Sweet and sexy, it really is a scent everyone usually likes! It's a warm scent with vanilla and white florals, but also has some fresh notes of citrus, woody notes and salt. I really adore this and love wearing it on colder days. It just smells divine, lasts a good amount of time and makes me feel warm, cozy & sexy. Purchase it here from 44€ up.

2. Chloe Love Story

This has been in my collection for quite a while now, but I still haven't gotten over the amazing scent. White florals, citrus, powder and musk just scream of spring and this scent works perfectly on a crisp, sunny day. It really is the epitome of spring to me, and I know I'll wear it a lot in the coming months. I especially love the orange blossom in it. Available here from 70€.

3. Britney Spears Intimate Fantasy

In my opinion, la creme de la creme of Britney's line! Sexy, musky and really sweet scent that makes you feel confident and sexy... I just love it so much. Loads of vanilla, loads of musk and a hint of citrus, such a dream scent for me. Great for cold days when you just want to feel cozy. It's a bit hard to find at the moment, but I'm sure you'll be able to get your hands on it soon.

4. Estee Lauder Modern Muse Chic

Such an unexpected love for me! I simply had to have it because of the bottle, but in the past few months I've been wearing it almost exclusively. Musky and oh-so-sexy, a little sweet and plenty floral. I just adore this scent, it's so 'me'. This reminds me of the days when I started wearing perfume and used Agent Provocateur exclusively. One of those scents you can wear any time of the year, for any occasion. Available here from 63€.

5. Giorgio Armani Si EDT

I've said so much about this scent already, but it's still a firm favorite... Probably my favorite in my collection at the moment. As sweet as Si EDP, but fresher and more floral. Just absolute perfection to my nose! Perfect for any day, any occasion, and weather... And it would work so wonderfully in the springtime. One of those scents I'll repurchase as soon as I run out. Available here from 60€.

I know I'll be wearing these all the time in the coming months, and I hope I gave you some good suggestions on what to get this coming spring!

New Base Additions & Reviews

I added a few things to my base collection recently...

I thought I'd tell you my thoughts about these products today. I've been trying quite a few things, and I hope my opinion on these helps someone! Added swatches too, I hope they're clear enough :) Let's get started.

Bourjois City Radiance 01 Rose Ivory

My newest addition! I've been meaning to try this baby since I saw it on my friend Nina's Instagram. Fortunately, I was sent both the foundation and the concealer by the PR company - thank you so much! I'm really enjoying this foundation. It's like Air Mat's fresher cousin, and in my opinion, a lovely drugstore foundation for spring. I think the price is around 14€ in the drugstore, and it's just a great buy... Medium, buildable coverage, good color selection, great finish which looks stunning without powder. A winner in my book.

Lancôme Teint Idole Ultra 24h 005

Recently, I've been on the hunt for a really light foundation. Somehow I've turned into Snow White and my skin is the palest it's ever been, so I thought this shade might just be perfect. I think this shade is almost perfect for me (still a smidge too dark, but let's pretend it's good enough). I've never had a Lancôme foundation, but this is absolutely stunning. My favorite thing is the smell, light, floral, delicate and pretty! Makes me feel so luxurious when I'm applying it. It gives a fresh velvet finish and it lasts absolute ages on my skin. Just love this! I paid around 38€ on FeelUnique.

Guerlain Tenue de Perfection 12 Rose Clair

Remember when I bought this and was really angry? The sales associate kind of tricked me, I actually wanted to get a Chanel foundation. Oh well, this is still pretty good, though the shade is way too dark for me (damn those lights in department stores). I like it though, it's nice and velvety, feels luxurious, and has great packaging. However, when I pay that much for a foundation, my expectations are a bit higher... I'm not disappointed, I just wanted more for 44€! Available here.

The Body Shop Shade Adjusting Lightening Drops

Listen, I was sold on these as soon as I saw them on Instagram. They remind me of the Cover FX drops. I got them as soon as I could, love them (despite the lame packaging) and used them religiously... Until I realized they made me look like a ghost in pictures. Legit, white-as-a-sheet. Several unfortunate photoshoots later, I've pushed these to the back of my makeup drawer. Great idea, but not a great execution. If you want to lighten your foundation, I'd recommend trying Cover FX instead. These cost around 14€ in TBS.

Bourjois Radiance Reveal 01 Ivory

I'm kind of new to the world of concealers (yes, I used to just embrace my dark circles). But even I can tell this is SUCH  a great product. Creamy but with a somehow gel consistency, velvety, beautiful, fresh, amazing! And such a bargain - I think it costs around 10€. I'm so thrilled with this concealer and I think I'll repurchase if I run out. However, if you want a high end alternative, you can try...

Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer Fair Neutral

Bourjois' big brother. Similar in every way, except for the price which is around 22€ on FeelUnique. I was totally sold on the hype, but it's not 'all that' for me. I honestly prefer Bourjois, though the UD concealer is a great buy as well. Great shade selection, too.

Whew, that was long! Hopefully my reviews helped you out in choosing your next base product... Have to say the Bourjois new additions are just lovely, and I'm sold on the Lancôme foundation as well.

January 2016 Beauty Favorites

Every post of mine starts off with long time no see...

But seriously, how've you been? I've been horribly sick for a while, but now I'm finally on the mend. I didn't wear much makeup in January, but what I did wear, I used religiously. So here we go, let's see some of my favorites from the past month.

MAC Twig

This lipstick needs more hype! It's probably my favorite of all time, just a stunning brown-rose nude. I just adore it so much, it makes my lips look bigger, it's not drying and has a beautiful satin finish. If you haven't swatched this yet, head to your MAC counter. I believe I paid 18€ in Graz.

Armani Si Eau de Toilette

I've already mentioned this is my favorite of the Si line by Armani, but I have to sing it some praise again. It's just a beautiful, sweet and floral fragrance. I wear it almost every day (sometimes I switch it up with Juicy Couture Couture La La). I got my set in Sephora, you can expect to pay about 40€ for 30 ml.

Guerlain Tenue de Perfection

Remember when I got this and was super angry the sales associate sold me into it? I'm kind of over it. It's a stunning foundation, and even though the shade isn't perfect for me, it's just gorgeous on the skin (I mix it with a lighter foundation or my moisturizer). Just gorgeous satin finish, not dewy and not matte. Looks beautiful with a Guerlain powder on top. I believe I paid around 50€ for this one (kill me).

Makeup Revolution Beyond Flawless

Time for a bargain! Seriously, you need this. Best palette I own. You can create tons of looks and it made me start wearing shadow, which I really don't use often. Beautiful shades, beautiful pigmentation. A little powdery and they have some fallout, but nothing I can't handle. Get it on Licila.si for only 13€.

& Other Stories Haystack Peony Cheek & Lip Tint

Even though I think this product is nothing special, I seem to have been using it all month. Lovely shade, gives a fresh and natural glow to my cheeks. Would not use on lips, it's too thick and greasy. Best part? I got it for 3€ in the sale!

Anastasia Brow Wiz

Guys. The hype is real. Best eyebrow product in the world. I decided I needed to do something about them brows when my boyfriend's niece kindly asked me why one of my eyebrows is different than the other. After my bogus excuse (possibly shouted) about 'eyebrows are sisters not twins!', I went home and ordered Brow Wiz and cried a little. But this product is worth the hefty price tag of 18€. It's AMAZING. Looks natural yet perfect. Makes tweezing not needed. Just perfect. You can get it on Beauty Bay.

These favorites were quite high end! Hopefully I'll add more drugstore bits next month, but these products really are stunning. I hope you enjoyed.
