I added a few things to my base collection recently...

I thought I'd tell you my thoughts about these products today. I've been trying quite a few things, and I hope my opinion on these helps someone! Added swatches too, I hope they're clear enough :) Let's get started.

Bourjois City Radiance 01 Rose Ivory

My newest addition! I've been meaning to try this baby since I saw it on my friend Nina's Instagram. Fortunately, I was sent both the foundation and the concealer by the PR company - thank you so much! I'm really enjoying this foundation. It's like Air Mat's fresher cousin, and in my opinion, a lovely drugstore foundation for spring. I think the price is around 14€ in the drugstore, and it's just a great buy... Medium, buildable coverage, good color selection, great finish which looks stunning without powder. A winner in my book.

Lancôme Teint Idole Ultra 24h 005

Recently, I've been on the hunt for a really light foundation. Somehow I've turned into Snow White and my skin is the palest it's ever been, so I thought this shade might just be perfect. I think this shade is almost perfect for me (still a smidge too dark, but let's pretend it's good enough). I've never had a Lancôme foundation, but this is absolutely stunning. My favorite thing is the smell, light, floral, delicate and pretty! Makes me feel so luxurious when I'm applying it. It gives a fresh velvet finish and it lasts absolute ages on my skin. Just love this! I paid around 38€ on FeelUnique.

Guerlain Tenue de Perfection 12 Rose Clair

Remember when I bought this and was really angry? The sales associate kind of tricked me, I actually wanted to get a Chanel foundation. Oh well, this is still pretty good, though the shade is way too dark for me (damn those lights in department stores). I like it though, it's nice and velvety, feels luxurious, and has great packaging. However, when I pay that much for a foundation, my expectations are a bit higher... I'm not disappointed, I just wanted more for 44€! Available here.

The Body Shop Shade Adjusting Lightening Drops

Listen, I was sold on these as soon as I saw them on Instagram. They remind me of the Cover FX drops. I got them as soon as I could, love them (despite the lame packaging) and used them religiously... Until I realized they made me look like a ghost in pictures. Legit, white-as-a-sheet. Several unfortunate photoshoots later, I've pushed these to the back of my makeup drawer. Great idea, but not a great execution. If you want to lighten your foundation, I'd recommend trying Cover FX instead. These cost around 14€ in TBS.

Bourjois Radiance Reveal 01 Ivory

I'm kind of new to the world of concealers (yes, I used to just embrace my dark circles). But even I can tell this is SUCH  a great product. Creamy but with a somehow gel consistency, velvety, beautiful, fresh, amazing! And such a bargain - I think it costs around 10€. I'm so thrilled with this concealer and I think I'll repurchase if I run out. However, if you want a high end alternative, you can try...

Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer Fair Neutral

Bourjois' big brother. Similar in every way, except for the price which is around 22€ on FeelUnique. I was totally sold on the hype, but it's not 'all that' for me. I honestly prefer Bourjois, though the UD concealer is a great buy as well. Great shade selection, too.

Whew, that was long! Hopefully my reviews helped you out in choosing your next base product... Have to say the Bourjois new additions are just lovely, and I'm sold on the Lancôme foundation as well.
