Milani Luminoso Blush - Worth The Hype Or Not?

Is Milani Luminoso worth the hype?

A question I've been asking myself ever since I saw it pop up in every Youtube video and uncountable blog posts. I don't know if you've tried it, but I don't think Luminoso is all that lovable.

First of all, the color is a straight-up orange, which I really dislike. It doesn't look good on me and I don't think orange is a natural or flatering color on any skin tone. It's also very shimmery - not sheeny, shimmery - and doesn't feel pleasant on my skin. It's not pigmented enough and the packaging is kind of cheap, with a brush I would never use.

Personally, I just don't understand the hype with Luminoso. I don't like it, and I'm giving it away after I finish this post. It doesn't work for me, and isn't worth the 9-10€ I paid for it.
Have you tried Luminoso?

Mini Essie Nail Polish Collection (+ Swatches)

Essie is one of my favorite nail polish brands!

I wanted to do a small collection post today, and I'm really trying to change up my content and make it more useful, so I'm including swatches of all these polishes. I recently had a good clear out of my nail polish and I really don't have very many left, so I'll have to get some new ones soon.

In general, Essie polishes last okay, a few days without chipping if you don't do the dishes etc. They're really opaque, have a great formula and a wonderful brush. I love their toppers and their bright colors (also darker, muted tones), which are opaque with one swipe. I'm not loving their pastels though, but they could be worse. The polishes cost 10€ a pop, but drogerie markt often has a 2 for 1 deal.

Essie Cute As A Button

This coral red shade is gorgeous, really brightens up my day when I wear it. I think it's perfect for spring and summer. You can get away with one coat, but it's kind of sheer no matter how many coats you apply - not sure how to explain it, almost like a jelly finish? Still love it, though.

Essie Romper Room

This is identical to Fiji, which I've had before. I don't think pastel polishes are Essie's strong suit. I had a few and didn't want to keep them, they take too many coats to be perfect - three. It's still a gorgeous baby pink pastel shade, though.

Essie Funny Face

Another gorgeous one coater! And this one doesn't have a jelly finish, it's way more opaque. A pretty bright pink berry-ish shade, which I wear a lot. I love it any time of the year.

Essie A Cut Above

A topper shade which I love using over top a colored nail polish, because by itself, it's not opaque. Very pretty rose gold shade with pieces of glitter. Looks great with any shade! Love this so much. 2 coats in the pic.

Essie Merino Cool

My absolute favorite. A gorgeous taupe shade which is just amazing this time of the year and so chic as well. It's kind a purple grey, and I love it so much. Again opaque with one coat, but for this one, you might want to do two.

There we go, my tiny Essie collection. I can't wait for another 2 for 1 deal so I can pick up some more shades.

Favorite Rose Gold, Champagne & Gold Products

Happy New Year!

Let's start this one in style. I've made a few resolutions, and this year, I really want to better my blog and content. looking back, NFR has changed quite a bit over the years, and I'm hoping it's been for the better. Hopefully, I can continue to do that in 2016.

I was inspired by this beautiful bottle of champagne I got as a Christmas gift, so I wanted to share my favorite rose gold, gold and champagne products with you all. Let's see what I chose.

Prettiest packaging

The award goes to Kiko Cosmetic's Rebel Romantic collection which impressed me with beautiful rose gold packaging. The lipstick packaging is my favorite, it's magnetic, shiny and so so beautiful. If you can get your hands on it in some kind of outlet, definitely do it!

I also love this Oriflame honey lip balm which is a random thing I got in the mail. I haven't tried out the lip balm yet but I think the package it comes in sooo cute, reminds me of EOS! I wish the lip balm were round as well, though.

Nail polish

For a glitter that is opaque, go with Orly Rage - a stunning rose gold color that is opaque in 1 coat and - gasp - easy to remove. For a glitter, try Essie A Cut Above which is a beautiful pink gold top coat. Love them both. Both polishes are about 10€.

MAC Soft & Gentle is a stunning gold highlighter which I've had for years and I just can't get enough of. I wear it almost every day and it's one of my best purchases. It retails for around 22€.

And honorable mention goes to this champagne! It's very photogenic, and I hope it tastes amazing as well :P
