Cartier La Panthère EDP Légère

A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of attending a press event for the new Cartier fragrance, La Panthere EDP Légère. I was initially not that interested, because I'd heard the perfume has green notes as well as patchouli, which I'm really not a big fan of. But as soon as I stepped into Nama, the department store where the event was held, I was enveloped in a cloud of sweet, fragrant florals ... And I immediately fell in love.

The green notes and patchouli in this scent are very unnoticeable, I wouldn't even know they were there had I not read that in the description of the perfume. What is more prominent is the note of gardenia and tiare flower - and if you know me, you know they hit the jackpot with that combination, which is one of my favourites.

The scent is heady, but somehow innocent - yet sexy. Does that make any sense at all? It's soft at first but evolves into a very strong fragrance, lasting about 3-5 hours on my skin with great sillage.

It's quite different than the original La Panthere, which is even stronger, sweeter and has more patchouli for sure. A beautiful fragrance that would be perfect for spring time in my opinion! I've loved wearing it these past few weeks.

Huge Collective Beauty Haul

Oh boy, have I got a big post for you ...

The past month has been amazing! There were two blogger events and so many companies in Slovenia decided to start working with us, I was so happy to receive some amazing things in the mail (and of course, do some cheeky shopping myself). So without further ado, let's see what I got in my mailbox ...

Avon treated bloggers with their new skincare range. I received two moisturizers from the line Nutra Effects, and so far they're quite lovely, though they really sting the area around my eyes, which is a real shame! I love the texture and scent and am hoping I can make them work. I also received their Luxe mascara, which I LOVE! It really elongates lashes and I've been using it every day. The mascara retails for 12€, and the moisturizers aren't available yet.

Vichy had a bloggers event in April which was so much fun. I had a great time chatting to fellow bloggers & the event was so well organized, had fun games & was just a blast. We all received the new Vichy Idéalia Skin Sleep Moisturizer, which I'm already trying out. In the mail, I also received the Vichy Pureté Thermale Beautifying Cleansing Micellar Oil, which I haven't tried yet, but isn't that packaging adorable? And finally, only a few days later, I also got the Vichy Teint Idéal Foundation. It's not my perfect shade, but I just love it ... My only problem is that it smells a lot like alcohol, though the scent has dissipated a lot.

We also have some John Frieda goodies, and one of them I'm completely crazy about. The Frizz Ease Daily Miracle is ah-mazing, and can be compared to another higher end leave-in conditioner - I'll tel you which one soon! Then I also received the Frizz Ease Go Curlier Heat Activated Spray, which hasn't been used yet.

This is a brand new line that is now available on Click2Chic. Only got it yesterday, but I'm sooo excited about this one ... And a little hint - there might be a special project coming up with these products, all will be revealed soon. The line includes a shampoo, conditioner, oil and moisturizer and prices vary from 8-22€.

Melvita had a bloggers event a month or so ago, which I couldn't attend because I still had my skin condition (booo!) They kindly sent me this L'Or Rose Refining Serum to reduce cellulite, and I can't wait to try it out - boy, do I need it to work. Price is around 36€.

Guys, I have had my other hairbrush for about 6 years, and it was frankly time to let it go. So instead of the Tangle Teezer, which I've had before (didn't love it, sorry), I went for Tangle Angel. First impressions? An awesome brush! It's pricy at around 20€, but I love the way it detangles and especially the fact that it has a handle.

I've hauled some OGX products before and mentioned I didn't love them, but I somehow couldn't resist their Coconut Milk range. *cringe* I ended up purchasing all three products - the shampoo, conditioner and Elixir. So far I've only tried the last one and it makes my hair incredibly soft. Further opinions to come soon. Prices of all three are a little over 8€.

I also went to a Cartier event a few weeks ago, which was absolutely lovely and quite fancy, I felt underdressed to say the least. But we got to leave with this amaaazing new fragrance, Cartier La
Panthère EDP Légère. It's available in all major department stores and prices vary from 61-112€, but it's truly a beautiful, light & floral fragrance, perfect for spring.

Whew, that was an enormous haul indeed! I really hope you don't mind me showing you what I get for review, it's a great way to let you know what I can review and I'll be happy to post more about the products you're interested in.

Top 5 Drugstore Lipsticks for Spring

Let's talk spring lipsticks!

Somehow, I've managed to make a complete switch when it comes to lipsticks. I no longer wear bright neon colors, but have instead switched to more neutral shades. So today's selection of bargain lip colors is more muter & in my opinion, perfect for the spring months. Here are my top picks ...

Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet in Nude-ist

I've mentioned the Velvets several times on the blog and they're still a firm favourite. Silky soft on the lips, you don't even feel them on, and they apply beautifully. This shade is my new obsession, a taupe pink which is just a little bit darker than your regular nude. Stays for ages as well. Available here for 12,50€.

Rimmel Kate Lasting Finish Matte Lipstick in 104

My favorite discovery from Malta! I've just fallen in love with Rimmel, their products are so amazing, and I really need to try more ... This lipstick has a beautiful finish which I would say is more satin than matte, and the shade is similar to Nude-ist, a taupe pink, very very pretty. Perfect for everyday wear, too. And the price is perfect, 4,30€ - can you beat that? Available here.

Bourjois Rouge Edition lipstick in 04 Rose Tweed

Bourjois does nude shades so well (and bright ones as well, so basically, a win-win situation). This is a brown-ish pink one, again with a gorgeous satin finish. The lipstick itself is so creamy and not drying at all- definitely one of my favourite lipstick formulas! Available here for 8,30€.

Rimmel Apocalips in 102 Nova

My favorite thing about Apocalips is the fact you can get them for so cheap! They're awesome quality too, and I mainly love the applicator which manages to apply the product perfectly - sometimes I have problems with liquid lipsticks, but this is great. Nova is the brightest shade in today's post, a pretty cool toned pink with small shimmer (nothing too overwhelming). Only 5€ here.

Revlon ColorBurst Lacquer Kiss Balm in Coquette

I LOVE these crayons from Revlon. I have three and I want every single one that is left! Coquette has shimmer, and if you'd asked me about it a few months ago, I'd say I would never wear that ... But there's just something about this shade! The minty flavour, perfect application and the gorgeous hot pink color which is a little sheer, a little shimmery ... Love it. available here for under 11€.

I've been loving these colors and they've been on my lips non-stop.

Spring Drugstore Milani Makeup Haul

I've been interested in the brand Milani for ages, and when I discovered a great online store where I could get the products delivered to Slovenia, I just had to place an order! I have to tell you, I've been really off the blusher bandwagon, but apparently jumped back on it with no less than 3 new blushers. I also got a few other bits, let's see what my first impressions are ...

Starting out with the Baked Blush, I absolutely had to get Luminoso with all the hype it's been getting for years. I knew it was a little on the coral side, but I have to say it's quite orange, which is not really a colour I'm used to with blushers, so I'm hoping I can make it work. For the price of about 6€, I had to get another one, and I chose Dolce Pink. I thought it would be more hot pink, but it's more of a neutral brown pink.

I also decided to get the Baked Bronzer, and I was initially disappointed upon receiving it as the shade Soleil which I got is very orange ... But I used it yesterday and I thought it looked quite pretty! Only time will tell, but for about 7,5€ - I'm quite pleased.

I also got the Rose Blush because I'm a sucker for cute things - I mean just look at it! The shade Tea Rose is a beautiful dusky pink, which surprised me with loads of pigmentation. It's very powdery but looks beautiful, applies nicely and is so soft - does that make sense? It's a little more expensive at about 8€, but the quality is really there. I love the shade, too. Oh, and I think this product is limited edition, so grab it while you can!

On a whim, I picked up a liquid liner. It's one of those marker ones, which I generally don't like as I think they dry out quite quickly. For now I've only tried Eye Tech Extreme Liquid Liner on the back of my hand and it stays for ages and doesn't smudge at all, so it looks quite promising. The price is 6€.

I also got a product for my brows, it seems like I'm a little addicted to these. The Easybrow Pencil is very very creamy, has a spoolie on one end and is really great, though it does smudge a little bit. For 4€ though, a great buy!

I couldn't resist their lipsticks, but I tried to get the Matte ones, and they were mostly out of stock, so I settled for the Color Statement Lipsticks. Unfortunately, these were a flop for me, and it's totally my fault because I didn't Google swatches of the shades I got. The formula is just lovely, creamy, blendable, not drying ... But the colors I got (Teddy Bare and Naturally Chic) are really unflattering on me, one is a dark brown and the other is an orange brown. They look great on my mom though. The lipsticks are around 5€, which is great!

A few words about the store where I shopped, I discovered http://milanicosmetics.eu/index.html a while ago and decided to finally place an order. This is the European distributor and the prices are okay compared to other places, still a little too much for my liking though - Milani is a drugstore brand, after all. However, shipping was about 8€, the package arrived with GLS in 3 working days which is perfect! I was so pleased with the service and I'll definitely order again as soon as they get more things in stock. Definitely recommend their site!

Milani has impressed me I must say! I will definitely be ordering more from them, and I'm mostly excited about the Matte Lipsticks, which I cannot wait to try out. I'll try to do a FOTD with these products or at least some swatches.
Have you tried any Milani products?
