Today I wanted to share a mani with you after what seems the longest time ever ... I really wanted to wear nude nails but after applying the lacquer they seemed a little bit boring, so I quickly (and clumsily) sponged a little bit of pink glitter on top of the manicure.

I used Bourjois So Laque Glossy 11 Indispen-sable nail polish first, which is my favourite nude at the moment. I really like Orly's Pure Porcelain and OPI's Barefoot in Barcelona, and this is the perfect mix of the two - very milky, great to apply and light, but doesn't give me mannequin hands, so it's just perfect. Then, I used a regular kitchen sponge, cut it up and sponged some glitter on the top half of my nails. I used Catrice Luxury Lacquers Liquid Metal 03 My Satin Ballet Shoes. This nail polish really looks like glitter but is quite runny and not at all coarse, great to apply and easy to remove.

I love this look, it's very pretty and understated, but still just a little bit special! Gradients with glitter or shimmery nail polishes work great and I'll definitely be doing them more often. Just thought I'd share this quick work appropriate mani with you - hope you like it.

What are you wearing on your nails today?
